Kala Pola 2014 was held at the Nelum Pokuna Mawatha, Colombo 7 On the 26th of January 2014 from 8.00 a.m to 10.00 p.m.

Artists and Visitors started to ply the place as early as 7.30 a.m and by 8, the venue was alive with  colour, vibrance and enthusiasm. seen below are some of the Visitors and Buyers in the morning.

  

Kala Pola 2014 went straight on for 14 hours and despite the heat of the afternoon, people still flooded into the Open Art Fair.

  

The Kids Art Corner sponsored by Elephant house and Sakura Agencies (PVT) LTD kicked off at 9 a.m and went on till 4 p.m.

   

The Official Ceremony took place at 5.00 p.m at the Nelum Pokuna Mawatha.The Chief Guest was H.E.Jong-moon Choi, the South Korean Ambassador to Sri Lanka.

 

The Chief Guest, H.E. Jong-moon Choi signs the SAARC Cultural centre Guest book at the SAARC exhibition held at the west wing of the Art Gallery.

A few “sculptures” assembled with unusual materials..

The Night’s Entertainment was provided by Ravibandhu Vidyapathy and Triloka, which kept the crowd upbeat till Kala Pola concluded at 10 p.m.
